- This is a direct hire position
- 100% on site in Irvine for the first year, and hybrid on site afterwards
- Salary is up to 120k/year + commission
- The manager needs someone who can support their bid response and RFP responses. Traditionally they have used MS office and Adobe to create the response, add statistics, charts and graphics, etc. Since being acquired, they now require to use InDesign for this work, and they do not have people on the current team who have experience with InDesign.
- This person works between the engineering and sales teams in collecting info, budgets, timelines, resources, etc. as part of their responses.
- We need a combination of someone who has strong experience in drafting up or bid responses in InDesign or someone with really good RFP/Bid response experience in municipal sectors such as water, power, sewage companies, etc.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Sales Enablement Specialist to lead the development of high-impact proposals and sales materials in response to public RFPs/RFQs. This role blends proposal writing, visual storytelling, and cross-functional coordination to deliver compelling, compliant submissions that win business.
You'll work closely with sales and subject matter experts to translate strategy into clear, persuasive content-while managing timelines, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring on-time delivery. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on business growth.
What You'll Do
Proposal Development & Execution
- Lead the full lifecycle of proposal development for public-sector RFP/RFQ responses
- Write, edit, and refine clear, compelling, and compliant proposal content
- Ensure submissions are accurate, high-quality, and delivered on deadline
Strategy & Messaging
- Identify and incorporate win themes, technical differentiators, and market strategies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align proposals with broader sales objectives
Project Management & Compliance
- Manage timelines, formatting, compliance requirements, and submission logistics
- Coordinate inputs across teams to ensure cohesive and complete deliverables
Visual Storytelling
- Design infographics and visuals that simplify complex concepts and data
- Develop clean, professional layouts using Adobe InDesign and related tools
Presentation Development
- Lead the creation of executive-level slide decks for RFP/RFQ interviews and presentations
- Coordinate across teams to ensure messaging consistency and impact
Content Management
- Build and maintain a centralized library of reusable proposal content
- Continuously improve templates, tools, and processes to scale efficiency
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing to support broader sales materials and branding
- Build strong, productive relationships across internal teams
What You Bring
Required
- 1-2+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe InDesign and graphic design tools
- Strong writing, editing, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Experience responding to municipal or public-sector RFPs/RFQs
- Background in consulting environments
- Exposure to or experience with systems integration work
